Brand snobs. We all are a little guilty. I'd love nothing more than a designer handbag that wasn't borrowed from my mother - but let's be honest. When your a parent there are a hundred other things you can think of spending your money on. And those that know me. Know how much I love a bargain, so I'm constantly looking for product dupes and cheats of how to save money without compromising quality.
So is designer always better ? This edit is dedicated to those budget friendly duplicates that offer a close to/same finish ..... for half the price. (your welcome 😊)
Base - a primer can make the world of difference to your finished look. My essential primers are anything and everything Smashbox - all products are tested in studios and designed for longevity so its one of my essentials, especially for brides. But there are some great highstreet alternatives... the images will take you through to sites that you can buy the products from. - Tip - for Feel Unique and Cult Beauty they usually have some good promo codes around so always worth searching.
Smashbox primers start at £26 VS NYX Studio Perfect Primer £10
I use Mac Pro Longwear as an under eye concealer, mostly because it doesn't crease - but it can feel a bit thick.... so for my day to day wear, I swapped for a Revlon Color Stay. It doesn't crease *providing I gently pat with my ring finger or blend with a beauty blender* and it doesn't feel too thick! - TIP - I also use this to strobe with and cutting out my brows.
Mac Pro Longwear Concealer £17.50 VS Revlon Color Stay £7.99
There are so many on the market, and because you only use a tiny amount in small areas - its more about shopping for the right shade and finish. I like the pearled highlighters because I'm so fair skinned. Love both of the below!
Anastasia Beverly Hills £28 VS Balm Mary Loumanizer £17.50
All of these are available to purchase via the click through links.... I'm not paid to review these products they are merely my personal opinion :)
